Any maker who goes deep enough develops a double vision:
The filmmaker can’t watch a scene without seeing the cut. The writer reads a headline, feels the hook and sees the format. The designer looks at a landing page and knows exactly which trick is moving their eye.
You didn’t try to develop this. It’s a side effect. Of years of learning how things work. How we react to it.
Then you see it everywhere:
The career template. The lifestyle image. Sales funnels dressed up as help.
Media.
Politics.
Fear.
All of it engineered to move you into a certain direction.
You feel the pull. You also see the strings.
Most people only get the feeling. They follow it. They don’t know they are being played.
That’s not stupidity. They haven’t looked behind enough curtains yet.
Independence.
You’re not free from influence. You just see it coming.
And at a point you start to write your own script. Combining interests from different worlds and identities into a life that suits you. Put it on.
You see what’s happening. You were blindfolded too. Seeing the curtains took the blindfold off.
