In a film, in a song. That thing that moves through you and disappears again.
You let it go. Because somewhere you learned that life costs something first. That you earn the good part later.
There’s a line out there somewhere. You’ve been driving toward it your whole life.
The point where you’ve paid enough, done enough, became enough. Where the road opens up and you’re finally allowed to go. That line isn’t there. There is no edge. There never was.
Just agreements you made so long ago you forgot they were yours to break. I get it. And I’m telling you — let them go. The work is the distance between where you are and right here.

I’m Joris Tillmans. Sound designer. Coach. I’ve worked for myself for a long time. Most people around me have too.
Over the years I found myself being the person friends came to when something wasn’t moving — not for advice, just to think it through.
I wasn’t looking to become a coach. This just matters to me. So I’m making it available. One-on-one, for now. I work with men who are close to making a move but haven’t.
I’m not a business coach. I don’t build plans or systems.
I work on the clarity that has to happen before any of that.
